Arrange Your Lulav Shake

Every day of Sukkot (except Shabbat) we take the arba minim, a.k.a. “Four Kinds.”  A palm branch (lulav), two willows (aravot), a minimum of three myrtles (hadassim) and one citron (etrog).

Jewish unity is one of the central themes of Sukkot. The four kinds you are holding symbolize four types of Jews, with differing levels of Torah knowledge and observance. Bringing them together represents our unity as a nation—despite our external differences.

This year more than ever, we need unity. In the spirit of unity, schedule your slot to come by the JCS Sukkah and shake the Lulav and Etrog with your family!

Feel free to reach out to Shaina@jewishcommunitysynagogue.com with any questions.

Shofar In The Park

Shofar In The Park

Join us for

Shofar In The Park

We have been tooting our own horn and we’re pretty good at it. Jews have been blowing the Shofar, a simple hollowed-out ram’s horn, for thousands of years in celebration of Rosh Hashanah – also known as the birthday of humanity.

It’s our birthday. Let’s celebrate!

PLEASE RSVP IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A ROSH HASHANAH BAG
Suggested Donation
September 20, 2020 | 4:30 PM

@ Anchorage Park | 603 Anchorage Dr, North Palm Beach, 33408

Bring your own blanket and mask and let’s hang out as we blow the Shofar. Enjoy an individually packaged Rosh Hashanah package as we sing songs together, and take a walk to the water for Tashlich.

Law & Order

The code of Jewish Law
Study group

The Shulchan Aruch, sometimes dubbed in English as the Code of Jewish Law, is the most widely consulted of the various legal codes in Judaism. It was authored in Safed (today in Israel) by Joseph Karo in 1563 and published in Venice two years later. Together with its commentaries, it is the most widely accepted compilation of Jewish law ever written.
