He shared with me lessons of life and taught me what wisdom means. Among the many things he said, he shared, “I was born in Berlin in 1926. We lived on the 4th floor and I saw the Nazi’s March down the street from our dining room window. I used to get beaten on the way to Cheder by Hitler’s Kinder Jugend. When we finally came to the US, on my first day of school another kid called me a filthy Jew. I beat him up so bad he never said anything about Jews ever again.”
Thank you for teaching me what Jewish Pride means! May you continue to show the world strength and courage for many years to come!
May we all stand tall in our Judaism and find pride in our heritage!
